I started my journey in Martial Arts in 1991. I was always fascinated and inspired by stories of warriors from all cultures, and being born into one of these cultures the virtues of being a warrior were instilled at a young age. I had a lot of energy and I still do today, so my parents wanted to burn it off, stop me from being so mischievous and be more focused on the task at hand, so I joined a local karate school. When I was young I was teased and sometimes bullied, as I stuck out like a sore thumb being the only boy with uncut hair tied in a top knot. Then I was the only one wearing a turban in an area where it was not normal to do so.
Having a Martial Arts school with like minded people who were completely different from me and yet shared and lived by the same virtues, got me through those times and have helped me to evolve into a stronger version of myself. It is because of these virtues that I teach Martial Arts.
Anyone can teach you how to throw a punch, a kick and block a strike. But learning the philosophies, living by these virtues and being able to teach these, are the life skills which everyone should possess. This is what enables us to become higher conscious beings and Martial Arts provide the perfect vessel.

From sparring to forms to team demos, these awesome competitions are not only a place where our students can test their skills, but also a place where team spirit is built, fears are overcome, and character is developed. Most importantly, they are tons of fun!
